A multi-talented individual |
||||
During his 50-year playing career, Roland Stafford qualified for 26 major golf championships and wasa member of both the PGA and Senior PGA Tours. In his PGA sections he
served two years as president, was twice voted Teacher of the Year,
and in 1999 was elected to the PGA Hall of Fame. Roland's success as
a professional golfer, coupled with his background as an educator and
trained musician (he earned his Master's Degree in Music Education),
combine to create a unique but simple system of golf instruction - The
Roland Stafford Teaching Method. From the day Roland and Susan Stafford
opened their school in 1981 to today, all instructors have been trained
in and remain committed to this Method, which often draws analogies
between music and golf to help virtually every student, whatever their
level, master the fundamentals of the golf swing and improve their game.
Just as important as this Method is the spirit of the Roland Stafford
Golf School. The emphasis is on learning in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere,
establishing personal goals and feeling good about one’s own achievements.
